I was 14-year-old when I first learned Coding. My father, who is a Software Analyst, taught me how a Code functions. My parents are my strongest assets; what I am today, it is only because of the values they’ve taught me and the principles they’ve imbibed in me for all these years. Since, then I have been on a journey, with defined academic pursuits and focus on accomplishing them. With the help I got in the past 4 years I got to learn more about technical concepts. I am confident that by pursuing an MS, I will be able to define my career goals.

I have done my schooling from Vignan Vidyalayam which is affiliated to SSC syllabus with 9.5 GPA. I was also a student much engaged in extracurricular activities. I was an athlete and I have represented my school in various athletic meets. Then I completed my Intermediate in Narayana Junior College with 82% where my subjects were Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Getting into such a place was repulsive for me at first, I later found it beneficial due to the lessons I learnt there as well as the great values that shaped major part of my later years.

A natural aptitude and interest in computers and coding got me in to Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology. I’ve learned a lot in this university during my 4 years of study. My main areas of interest were the Programming languages. During the sophomore years, I learned basic programming languages of C, C++, and Java. I understood the key features of each language and realized that one was an improvement over the other. I did my mini project “Short Answer Evaluation” with the help of my faculty. The objective was to assess the short answers which the students wrote in an online examination, to the answer set by the examiner. The answers are valued using Python and Natural Language Processing (NLP) tools. This project was selected by our college examination branch to be added to our college’s local examination portal so that it can help students to write the exams online. This project was a success and was highly praised. The major project I worked on was “Smart Banking ATM with Fingerprint”. In this project we developed an ATM which can be accessed using one’s fingerprint as a medium to do a transaction This project was completed using C and various IOT tools. This ATM ensured safety and security of the account holder’s money when performing a transaction.

In the Second year of my undergraduate degree, I received an internship opportunity at Megaforce Technologies, to work as a Technical intern under the Java Technical Head, for a project titled ‘Billing Project for Sales and Reports’. In the same year of my undergrad degree I was awarded third prize in the event “Design Sprint”, which is an event where we have to design a app.

As the program progressed¸ I grew keener towards exploring different verticals of the subject. Subsequently, I engaged in examining about the use of Semantic Web in the current World Wide Web. The semantic web is basically an extension of the world wide web. So, I gave many paper presentations in different universities about the importance of sematic web in the future of the world wide web. Another topic which took my interest was Sixth Sense in Computer Science Technology. Sixth Sense is a wearable gestural interface that augments the physical world around us with digital information and lets us use natural hand gestures to interact with that information. Such experiences, have enabled me to appreciate broader aspects and potential of Computer Science.

These experiences have reinforced my proclivity for practical work over theoretical.  Subsequently, I have determined I must acquire more knowledge, to be able to fulfil my future career aspirations. I have a strong foundation on programming languages such as C and Java. Thus, from an MS, I wish to strengthen my conceptual knowledge and build my research acumen. That’s why I selected to pursue my studies from George Mason University.

George Mason University was my most preferred university when I was applying for my master’s education. George Mason is the best public research university in United States. They have a wide variety of courses available in their curriculum. George Mason is also a highly diverse university. George Mason is also the first university to announce data analytic engineering as a graduate study. Currently, I’m enrolled in graduate pathway program in George Mason. I got to learn a lot of new things from a very helpful faculty. I hope to continue in this university for further studies by matriculating my graduate pathway program.

After the matriculation I know I have to join the graduate degree program and I also know that the main course curriculum will be beneficial for me in many ways, academically and linguistically. I know, too, that I have the will, the intelligence and the potential to succeed in this exciting academic experience.
